Yesterday Soon
Written by: Tony Castricone (2015)
Blood’s still pumping through that broken heart
You can’t tell but all your wounds are turning into scars
Every tear you cry
will eventually dry
Nothing bad is ever here to stay
Everything fades
A few short trips around the clock will wash it all away
’cause the world makes antiques out of all that once was new
Tomorrow will be yesterday soon
The memories in the faces of the wornout picture frames
The beat up house that you called home, it’ll never be the same
By now, you should know
You’re gonna have to let it go
Nothing good is ever here to stay
Everything fades
A few short trips around the clock will wash it all away
’cause the world makes antiques out of all that once was new
Tomorrow will be yesterday soon
Every joy and every pain
Every loss and every gain
In the end, we never owned a thing
Just like every shiny car
is destined for an old junk yard
and every winter’s followed by the spring
Everything fades
A few short trips around the clock will wash it all away
’cause the world makes antiques out of all that once was new
Tomorrow will be yesterday soon
